It gives us enough confidence and courage... we have sorted out the issues to be taken care well in advance in our next fundraising program.... Probably we may launch another such program in the new year 2010 ... !
We will come back very soon with such announcement again...!

July 19th , ASARA POVATHU YAARU…? Fundraising program, really a memorable one for our members..!
It was a great event …. By spirit, by value , by time , by enjoyment… in any aspect , we could count it as a big successful one… Thank God…!
The team of ASATHAPOVATHU YAARU arrived sharply at 5.30 to the stage .
The rush started to enter into the Chellammal Subbaraya Marriage hall by 5 pm onwards. All the member’s families ( 35 Members attended this event with their families ) made it in time within 6.15 pm.
The hall got filled up around 6.25 pm. We were desparately watching to see the rush as it wont stop even at 8 pm in the evening.We afraid whether the rush would be out of our control. The total hall was jam packed and all our members were kept standing then and there around the hall till the end of the event to monitor all the moments very closely . They coordinated well in all aspects with the Core committee team . The total mass might exceed more than 1000 Nos. Though we were sold 1000 tickets, we wont expect that all the people would turn up 100% ….. !
The ASARAPOVATHU YAARU event kicked off at 6.30 pm with Mathurai Muthu’s
Comeday Kalakkal . The whole auditorium was aroused by his comedies.
It followed the Eye catching Ball show by Anand and Ashok Brothers. They throwed 3 balls continuously individually in different ways and mixed with each other’s balls also without dropping a single ball . They did another splendid task like this with Karla Kattai wooden frames . Children were totally Amused by this inducing performance.
Then comes “Nagesh” Chellakannu’s Dance as like actor Nagesh. The whole mass
Started dancing with that old Doyen of Tamil Cinema’s dance performance by Chellakannu.
“Vadivel”Ganesh was not an exception. His performance in the role of Inspector made everybody blasted with laughs . It was afraid that whether the heart came out of our their mouth . …That was really a very interesting event…!
Kovai Guna added the Kushy by his comedy and Dancing . He alongwith the “Vadivel “
Ganesh and Chellakannu , made everybody lost their breath…..!!!!
The whole mass was attracted by Prajan , the master musician.. Yes.. he did all sorts of music, sound , Mixing , Chirping of Birds… Yes.. everything related to Sound by his mouth… Public was stunned to see the performance of this young guy from Kerala… !
Kovai Guna alongwith “Vadivel” David did dance for a mixing of songs of old and new era… Simply interesting..!
Mathurai Maruthu performed the wonderful dance for the song VAARA, VAARAN POOCHANDI forwhich he got applause for more than 5 minutes . Superb…!
Then came the Magic performance by Mohan . Children and Ladies were delighted with the New and innovative performance of this Magician…!
Finally Mathurai Maruthu did PSEDO LEGS dance with 4 legs… Wonderful..!
Inbetween the event , we distributed the AWARDs to those Rotarians who sweat out for the success of this program in a grand way… !
STAR OF POONDI ROTARY was awarded to Rtn.VBM, Secretary,Biran( Program chair)Jaffr,Venkat - The core committee team members . Also it was awarded to Gopi,Kandasamy,Venkatesh,Joseph and Shivasubramaniam.
MEGA STAR OF POONDI ROTARY - Rtn.Dr.Sundaran, Shanmugam,Abbas,Krishnasamy,Sambandam and Rajkumar.
SUPER STAR OF POONDI ROTARY - The great Rotarian Murugapandian was awarded with this title for his wonderful contribution .
For more than 3 and 1/2 hours , the whole crowd was bound up and nobody moved away from their seats . They gummed with the seats.. yes.. it could be said like that… !
The event manager MAAYAA events did their task very well and they coordinated all the things with club and artists in the proper way . Their experience in handling such events was praise worthy
We trust God.. We trust Tirupur people… We trust our members…..!!!!

We have made all arrangements for this wonderful , colourful fundraising program as best as possible by us...!
We invite all Tirupur Rotarians to attend our very first Fundraising event tomorrow..!
You can collect the tickets from Ticket Chairman Rtn.Jaffr - 98940-27646....!
All the tickets are already sold out. Only few tickets are reserved for the last minute arrivals of our members and others . Hardly 20 Nos...!
We had a special meeting yesterday and discussed the final touchups needed for the program.
The best Rotarians who have collected more will be awarded in that function .
Our Rtn.Krishna sold maximum number of tickts. 120 Nos ... Great achievement..! His dedication is great....!
Our Rtn.Rajkumar and Rtn.Murugapandian got Sponsors worth of 40000 Rs each .Splendid performance..!
The new member Rtn.SA.Sambandam , amidst of his great sarrow and pity , sold tickets worth 20000 Rs and got sponsor worth 15000 Rs..... Miracle...!
We really salute these these pillars of our club ... They did their job....!

Really it's not an easy thing which we realised from this event..!
For this program , we have worked for the past 2 months .
When we confirmed the program 45 days before, from that day 6 of our core team members are working meticulously for more than 6 hours per day . In the last 2 weeks, they are working almost full time spending very lesser time for their business... !!
I should appreciate those core team members ... (apart from me).. they are Rtn.Koothabiran ( President elect ) , Rtn.T.P.Vivekanandan ( Secretary ) , Rtn.Jaffr , Rtn.Venkat & Rtn.Nataraj .
Co-ordinating with Events Manager, The artists, arrangement of Kalyana Mandapam , Ticket sales and promotion , very importantly getting SPONSORS... that is also at the time of very crucial slow down of business in Tirupur....it's really a painful one but at the same time result oriented program ......!
Our total club members are engaged in the success of this program for the past 2 weeks in full swing... !
We have announced awards for those who collect maximum contribution to this program individually.... 1. STAR OF POONDI ROTARY..... 2. MEGA STAR OF POONDI ROTARY... and Finally.. SUPER STAR OF POONDI ROTARY....!!!!
More than 15 members are gonig to get awards on that day, I believe...!
We have involved our Anns also in this program .. They are doing collection separately through their friends and relatives...!
Herculean task... really... but we have the confidence to make it in the right way.... !
Another important aspect is , we wont disturb any other Rotary club or Rotarians .. as they could be already occupied with their events and functions ...!!!
Whether it is going to be 100% successful or less... we have learned " How to conduct a mega event ?" ....It would be useful for us to do any District project in future...!

On July 19th, Sunday , at Chellammal Subarayar Kalyana Mandapam, we are conducting our first FUND RAISING PROGRAM of our Club .
ASARA POVATHU YAARU..?
The Sun TV famous 10 Asathapovathu Yaaru? Program artists take part in this mega event .
The list includes Mathurai Muthu, Kovai Guna and others . Whereever this program was conducted in the past , it became a successful one due to mass attraction entirely because of fun filled Humorous speeches and activities.
Every Sunday evening , each and every family in Tamil Nadu , is occupied fully with this program in Sun TV . Some times the stomach seems to slip down from its place and people cant stop the laugh with both of their hands…!
We, Tirupurians , are lack of humourness , the most wanted quantity of human being . They never serious about this important quality of mankind which differs us from other animals and plants .
To invoke this “ must” needed aspect for Tirupurians , our club decided to conduct this program as it’s first fund raising program.
To make it more lovelier , more fun is added by JOLLY GAME SHOW with a very good compere who use to make the crowd arouse by silly punishments to the audience who take part in that Game Show.
The very purpose of doing this Funraising program is .. to cater the most wanted .. timely needed aspect of fulfilling shortages in experienced labour force currently in Tirupur… Yes, we propose to conduct a FREE GARMENT PRODUCTION TRAINING CENTRE in Tirupur freely to those young aspirants who are coming down to Tirupur to earn money ….purely .. just because of poverty …. !!!
Though it’s a mega project , we decided to start from the basic,minimum level . Slowly we can convert this into a big project in the year’s to come .
We really need the support of all Tirupur Rotarians for the grant success of this Fund raising program….!
