On Charter function day, we donate 60000 Rs valued Steel desks, benches and tables to CHANDRAKAVI SCHOOL as we have adopted this school.
We donate 4000 Rs worth of wheel chair to an old person .
Very importantly our children are donating their savings to POLIO PLUS PROGRAM OF ROTARY INTEREATIONAL on this day...
We are inviting all to this function..

Good news to all...
Today our DG called and informed me that the Charter is received for our newly formed second club..
The charter date is 09.04.2010 .
We passed this good news to all of Tirupur Rtns already..
We planned to conduct the Charter function by May first week .. providing Governor's date...
We are thankful to all those Rtns who have helped us, who lend their hand for the formation of this new club..
Really it takes 35 weeks to form this new club ultimately.. nearly 7 months...
For most of the District programs, the members are already participated.. Each and everyone of the new charter member is now learnt the basic information about Rotary.....
I worked the level best I can for the formation of this new club..
I am thanking my club President for having such a confidence on me to work as the GSR for this new club.. Rather than GSR , I have learnt a lot about Rotary still deeper and wider ...
I appreciate Rtn.Samandam for his great support who accompanied me for more than 25 meetings.. Also I thank President Rtn.VBM for his wonderful guidelines then and there.. His motivational speech is the other factor which boosted the club members ...
We will send the invitation to all Rotary clubs in our District 3202 .... We invite all Rtns to wish the new club...

There are 7 lady members apart from 20 Male members in this new club
We have planned to do a joint project with mother club and Mother club sponsored clubs in the month of July in a big way...
Probably a MEGA FUNDRAISING program.. to support all the 4 clubs...

Finally we have completed the paper works of our new club. The total number of Charter members are 26 . The DD with complete forms have been sent to DG for getting Charter .
We are expecting our Charter in April . We plan to celebrate in a big way.
Mr.UDAYAKUMAR ,Exporter , Coton Knits is the Charter President and S.C.Rajesh,Aquarium Owner is the Charter secretary for this new club. The club member list includes wide classifications.
We plan to conduct our First Fellowship meet by first week of April .

dear Rtn.Venkat, Please accept my hearty congratulations for completing the paper work for the new club. I can understand how difficult it is to collect information from people. you did a wonderful job. please send the papers as early as possible. once it is sent to RI Delhi office it will take about 3 weeks time to get the charter if there is no queries.

Halo members....!
Good day to all...!
Finally the charter works of Tirupur Metropolis is going to be completed today . 25 Charter members are finalised . We are submitting the forms with DD in this week for Charter .
Really it took more than 30 weeks for us to complete this herculean task . We dont want to make it in a hurry . The members of this new club were already took part in several District programs and events.
We are thankful to DG Rtn.Sagadevan for calling our Metropolis members to the KUDUMBAM - District conference stage and announced the formation . More than 13 members took part in this memorable event.
We are going to function as a full fledged Rotary club from April end onwards, I trust.
We are looking for all the Rtns to take part in our Charter function event.

Good news members...!
We have completed the table work for Metropolis club . Now the total members are 25 nos.
For the past 5 months, we have 30 weekly meetings continously. We called members from other clubs for motivation.
We have attended new member orientation programs.
Metropolis president Elect Mr.Udaykumar hosted a GSE Member from Philadelphia, USA recently . GSE Member Mr.Mathew was so attached with their family.
They took part in great number in the felicitation to GSE team members.
By Mid of March, we expect our Charter from RI.
Expecting your wishes for this new sibbling from Tirupur ..>!

Halo Members ... New year wishes to all of you...!
As GSR of this newly formed club , we have conducted several programs in the past 3 months.
In November , we have donated 10000 Rs worth of materials to 2 schools which we have adopted .
In December, we have conducted our FIRST FAMILY GET TOGETHER FUNCTION under the leadership of AG Rtn.M.Thiayagarajan and Our club president Rtn.PHF.Muruganandan .
More than 13 members came for this first ever family function.
The highlight of this function is , 5 lady members sang songs and Annets performed dances.
The organising chairman Mr.Gurunathen assured to gift 1.5 pown chain to his wife for her best performance in stage. As he said, he bought and presented the same to his wife within 3 days. memorable gift..!
Everybody enjoyed the Family function and fellowship of Rotary..!

The very first speaker meeting of Tirupur Metropolis club was arranged yesterday 22.10.09 .
Rtn.Kirubakaran, Past Secretary, Rotary club of Tirupur Gandhinagar was invited as Speaker for this speaker meeting.
He explained in detail about his love and affection with Rotary in his own style brilliantly. When he narrated his personal problem met unexpectedly at POLAND AIRPORT and how it get solved by another Rotarian as well as a Governor of Rotary District in France , everybody stunned by the power of Rotary.
“ The contacts every Rotarian uses to develop through Rotary will surely benefit to them at one stage ; Also when the whole world is filled up with vengence and mistrust , we really find it very difficult to get good people to believe & to share our family and business aspects.... But if you become a Rotary member, you use to get hundreds of Good friends ..not only for you .. but for your Wife and Children too,as all ladies and kids use to meet at Family gettogether function where they can develop their friends “ This was the key aspect Rtn.Kirubakaran declared . All the 15 members attented was highly moved with his speech.
Thanks Rtn.Kirubakaran for your highly motivational speech….His true sharing help the young club to build a good image within itself…! We are going to invite more such speakers further to motivate them …!
As the mother club , we are giving our maximum thrust to feed best about Rotary to the new club always….!

The provisional function was held perfectly as we planned.
More than 21 members of this newly formed club attended the meeting . Our District Governor formally announced the Provisional declaration of this new club amidst cheers .
GSR Venkat explained in detail about the hard efforts taken by our club members Rtn.Samandham, Rtn.VBM , Rtn.Vivek , Rtn.Nataraj and others to form this new club .
He did the MC work in a splendid way . His presentation showed the maturity he gained though he had an year experience in Rotary .
Rtn.VBM congratulated The charter secretary elect Rajesh, President elect Srinivasan and others . It was First lady of this club , Mrs.Srinivasan , who took personal interest to motivate her husband to lead the club.
While accepting the present given by First lady of Poondi, she delivered a wonderful speech forwhich she was paid off with good applause by everybody.
Mrs.Prakash of this club also showed great interest to do their Charter function in a great way .
AG Thiayarajan, GGR Krishnamurthy, DDT Shivashankaran , Dist chief Sec Gopinath , Rtn.C.S and many more Senior Rtns took part in this nice event.
This is the second club we have sponsored in this year 2009-2010 to serve the COLLEGE ROAD area of Tirupur.
Though we are not able to support financially , we are intended to start new clubs whereever necessary sothat they will take care of that region .In this way, we can serve Rotary and the people together.
It was really a remarkable day in our Poondi Rotary history ... !
We never forget 20 09 2009.. ie 20092009... as said by our DG .. Thanks DG...!

The Fifth Meeting was held at CHANDRAKAVI SCHOOL, College Road for the first time on 27.08.09 between 8 to 9 pm ..!
They meet every Thursday presently . The regular meeting date will be finalised very soon .
The Charter Secretary Elect Rajesh ( Fish and Feeds Aquarium , Pushpa Theatre ) did excellent work to get permission within a fortnight for the club meeting from Municipality .
Two more new members joined in this new club .
GSR Venkat announced the first project of this club going to be conducted at Panchayat School, college Road by next week .
They propose to conduct their Provisional Function by end of September .

The fourth meeting was well attended by 14 of the new members. They decided to conduct their provisional function in the mid of September .
To motivate their members, as per GSRs advise, they will conduct DRAWING COMPETETIONS to nearby Panchayat schools...!
They got the permission for the running of the club at CHANDRAKAVI school from Municipality..!
The new team is getting extended with 2 more new members..!

On August 13th , at Charter President elect Mr.T.Srinivasan of the new club proposed Petrol Bunk, the 3rd meeting was held .
More than 13 of its founder members attended this meeting . The Charter Sec. elect Rajesh already sent request letter to Tirupur Corporation to conduct their weekly meetings at CHANDRAKAVI school premises. The Corporation also almost accepted their request . Hopefully further meetings will be conducted at this school.
Apart from 12 members who attended last meeting, 5 more new members attended this meetings. They have given their willingness and concurrence already to join in this proposed club. Also 4 more members are assured to join further. They are promoted by the new club’s charter member Mr.P.Nagarajan .
Our President initiated the meeting first. Then details about Rotary was elaborately told by Secretary T.P.Vivekanandan more than 25 minutes. Rtn.R.Natarajan, Membership Chairman, also joined with him and narrated his personal wonderful experience with Rotary . Finally GSR Rtn.T.V.Venkat gave out a clear cut outline about Rotary.
They decided to conduct a DRAWING COMPETITION for the CHANDRAKAVI Govt school students as their first project after their provisional function by September .
The total membership of the proposed club sofor is 21 .. yes.. the magic number needed to form a new club..!

Rc of Tirupur Metropolis - Next Rotary club to be sponsored soon…!!
As per our Club’s unique target of forming atleast 3 new clubs atleast in this year 2009-2010 ,
we sponsored the first club Rc of Tirupur Cotton City already last month . The charter is expected by end of August 2009. The new club already started their functioning in a dramatic way .
The second club is going to serve in College Road area of Tirupur where no club is formed till now . The area is vast and has a population of nearly 1 lakh . Most of the people are labours,working in various Garment Factories. This area has the biggest poor people below average residing area in Tirupur called MOSCOW nagar.
Forming a new club at this right locality is our club’s next goal . In this successful path, we have almost finalized the second new club in Tirupur zone in this year. The very first meeting was attended by AG Rtn.Thiayagarajan on July 29th at Secretary office. 4 members of this new club attended the first meeting . Our AG motivated them with lot of informations about Rotary and the privilege of being a Rotarian in Society .
The second meeting was called on Sunday August 09. It was well attented by 10 of its proposed charter members . The meeting was held at Muthu&co Petrol bunk, College Road , Tirupur. It was started at 11 am in the morning under the dynamic leadership of GGR Rtn.K.Krishnamurthy . Rtn.T.V.Venkat was appointed as GSR for this club by our club’s board of directors already and it was conveyed to DG E.Sagadevan also . He also accepted our request and appointed him as his GSR for this new club . Thanks DG..!
our GGR explained in detail about the very good aspects of Rotary and urged the members to form the new club asap. Our GSR also assured to form the club within 2 months time.
“ROTARY CLUB OF TIRUPUR METROPOLIS “
This is the name unanimously decided by members of this new club proposed by our President Rtn.VBM. Mr.T.Srinivasan , the proprietor of the Petrol bunk , has been selected as the CHARTER PRESIDENT of this yet to be formed club . Mr.Rajesh of Fish and feeds has been elected as CHARTER SECRETARY and Mr.Prakash, of Garments is elected Treasurer.The venue of this club meeting is decided to be conducted at CHANDRAKAVI Government Middle school in College Road.
The new club has multidimension classifications which a good club needed to function in a better way.
We , Rotarians of poondi club , are proud of doing this good work for the uplift of masses …!!!
