Rtn PHF VG Nayanar & spouse Rtne Rema Nayanar

Rtn. V. G. Nayanar hails from the aristocratic Nayanar family of North Malabar. He was born on 15. 10. 1957 to (Late) Sri. K. T. G. Nambiar and Prof. V. Thangam of Payyanur. He had his education at Payyanur Govt. High School and Graduated in Physics from Payyanur College. He did his D. Pharm from National Institute of Pharmacy. He has to his credit a Dip. in Business Management from Bombay. He was captain of College Cricket Team and also represented Shuttle Badminton Team for consecutive 5 years.

After holding employment outside Kerala for sometime, he ventured into his own pharmaceutical business. He is a landlord and having varities of agricultural interests.

V. G. Nayanar joined Rotary Club of Payyanur in 1989 and held all club posts including its president in 1998-99. From 2000-01 onwards he served Dist in various capacities. He had been faculty to many regional and Dist. Seminars. He was instrumental in forming four clubs. He holds the responsibilities in many social, educational, cultural and business organizations at various levels. Payyanur Rotary’s permanent project – ROTARY – PES HERBAL GARDEN at Payyanur College was started under his guidance.

Rtn. V. G. Nayanar was conferred with many recognition also in his Rotary career. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and is happily married to Rema Nayanar and blessed with two kids, Anand and Devika.
