The Rotary District 3202 was formed in July 2008 as a multi-generation successor of District 89 (comprising of Afganistan, Burma, Ceylon and India) formed in 1937-38, and an immediate successor of District 3200 formed in 1991-92. The new district has 97 Clubs and a membership strength of 3295 Rotarians.
The Clubs are spread over part of the southern Indian states of Kerala and Tamilnadu. The larger cities in our RI District are Tirupur and Calicut.
A large majority of the Clubs have weekly tea meetings. Our RI District is well known for its involvement in the avenue of Community Services.
Rtn Major Donor Dr E K Sagadhevan of Rotary Club of Erode Central is the current District Governor of the new district (for 2009-10).
